The BasketBall Diaries is a movie based on a true story of a memoirist & poet, Jim Carroll. The movie follows the life incidents of Jim & his harrowing downfall from being a star basketball player to getting hooked with heroin. All that Jim is left with are his poetries. However, he is found on the streets by an ex-junkie who undertakes the responsibility of Jim's rehabilitation.
